Qualification

Young Professionals-II- (Geo-spatial Analyst) • Master Degree in Agricultural Science/ Geology/ Geography/Remote Sensing/ Geo-informatics or Bachelor Degree in Engineering/ Technology and concerned subjects with specialization remote sensing and GIS. At Least one year experience in remote sensing data analysis and thematic mapping in GIS.

Qualifications

Knowledge and working experience in spatial raster and vector database handling, management, and analysis in GIS & Remote Sensing based Software. • Working Knowledge in mapping of Landform, Land Use Land Cover, Fallow land; DEM/DTM generation, and Soil Resource based mapping

Responsibilities

Assisting Principal Investigator of the projects in Establishment of Biotech KISAN Hub at ANGRAU, Guntur. Conducting on farm demonstrations, data collection from the respective project area. Job demands extensive travelling in the districts of Anantapuram and Kurnool districts of Andhra Pradesh.

A walk in interview through online (Video conference) will be held on 10-06-2020, at O/o Dean of Agriculture, Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, Administrative Office, Lam, Guntur – 522 034, A.P. at 10.30 A.M. for selection of three young professional-II for the project entitled “Expansion of Activities of Biotech KISAN Hub in three aspirational districts (Vizainagaram, Visakhapatnam and YSR Kadapa) of the Andhra Pradesh” under Scientific Research Fund of Department of Biotechnology (DBT) . 2. Desirous and eligible applicants are requested to send their biodata in prescribed format along with photocopies of their essential certificates (SSC, Degree, Experience etc.,) to the dbt.angrau@gmail.com on or before 09-06-2020 for verification. After verification of the application, the eligible applicants will be provided with conference ID and password one day before the schedule date of interview. 3. Eligible applicants may appear for Walk - in - Interview at 10.30 A.M. 10-06-2020 through online from their place itself. The applicants should see that they are having good net facility while attending the interview through online. Interested candidates requested download ZOOM app from play store and register or signup with your own ID and password. 4. No separate call letter for the interview shall be issued, the position is purely temporary on contractual bases and up to a period of 16 months or Co - terminus of the project, whichever is earlier. ANGRAU, Guntur will not be held responsible to given regular appointment after expiry of the stipulated period of engagement. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview. The University’s decision is final and binding in all respects. 5. The qualifications required and other details prescribed for engagement are listed in Annexure I The candidate should bring a latest Passport size Photograph and all original certificates starting from Xth – Class to till higher degree or Provisional Certificate, as the case may be, together with attested photocopies at the time joining, if he / she selected.
